Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamiyeh, from the towns of Bessaba and Kfarchimah, projected that "the revenues of the facilities affiliated with the ministry will exceed $300 million for the year 2023, noting that its budget is only $2 million, while road maintenance alone requires $105 million." He confirmed that "working to increase the ministry's budget according to constitutional frameworks is more than necessary."
