Stoltenberg: The Alliance Supports Temporary Ceasefires in the Gaza War

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated today, Thursday, that "the member countries of the alliance support temporary humanitarian ceasefires in the war between Israel and Hamas to allow aid to enter Gaza." He continued to reporters in Berlin before a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz that "international law must be respected and civilians must be protected during the conflict." Stoltenberg added: "The war in Gaza should not turn into a larger regional conflict. Iran and Hezbollah must remain outside this battle."
