The Syrian presidency announced that President Bashar al-Assad "is heading today to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the works of the emergency Arab summit, which will discuss the situation in the Palestinian territories, and the aggression that Gaza is experiencing, resulting in the daily deaths and injuries of hundreds and creating an unprecedented humanitarian crisis."
