Griffith: The Conflict in Gaza is a Fire That May Spread to the Rest of the Region

UN Humanitarian Coordinator Martin Griffith said on Thursday that "the conflict in Gaza is a fire that may spread to the rest of the region," adding that "allowing the current situation in the sector to continue would be a farce." He further stated at the opening of a conference on Gaza in Paris: "The United Nations cannot be part of a unilateral proposal to push Palestinians into so-called safe areas."
