The Russian news agency Interfax reported today, Monday, that the Northern Fleet, operating in the Arctic region, conducted drills simulating a response to hostile unmanned boats. The agency cited the fleet's press service, stating that some of the country's largest destroyers and landing ships participated in the exercises in the Arctic. It noted that "during the drills in the East Siberian Sea, the crews of the anti-submarine destroyer Vice Admiral Kulakov and the large landing ship Alexander Otrakovsky trained on measures to protect a detachment of ships in case of a threat from the enemy using unmanned boats." It was not immediately clear when the drills took place.
