Syria announced today, Wednesday, the appointment of its Assistant Foreign Minister, Ayman Sousan, as ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following months of diplomatic relations being resumed with Riyadh. The state news agency "SANA" reported that Sousan took the oath of office before the Syrian regime's president. Maher Badour also took the oath as ambassador to Algeria, in the presence of the regime's Foreign Minister, Faisal Mekdad.
