Title: EU Increases Military Aid Fund for Ukraine by €3.5 Billion

European Union countries agreed today, Monday, to increase the maximum amount of a fund used for military aid to Ukraine by €3.5 billion (approximately $3.8 billion), bringing the total to more than €12 billion. EU Foreign Affairs Representative Josep Borrell stated, "Today's decision will again ensure that we have the funding to continue providing concrete military support to the armed forces of our partners." He added, "The facility has proven its importance. It has completely changed the way we support our partners in defense. It makes the EU and its partners stronger." Meanwhile, Hungary confirmed that it would not lift a ban on a €500 million tranche from the current fund until Kyiv removes the Hungarian OTP Bank from the list of companies it considers "international sponsors" of Russia's war in Ukraine, describing the bank's inclusion as "shameful."
