Speaker of the House Nabih Berri has summoned the Finance and Budget, Administration and Justice, National Economy, Trade and Industry, and Health, Labor, and Social Affairs committees to a joint session at 10:30 AM next Wednesday, to discuss the following agenda:
1. A proposed law aimed at initiating the implementation of the "Universal Basic Income" system (Dignity of the Citizen Law) presented by MP Faisal Karami.
2. The draft law included in Decree No. 13760 aimed at amending certain provisions of the Social Security Law and establishing a pension and social protection system.
Additionally, Berri received the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Joanna Wronecka at the second presidential location in Ain el-Tineh, where they discussed the general situation and recent developments. He also hosted the Lebanese Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Fouad Dandan.
