Start Date for the Iranian Ambassador's Duties in Saudi Arabia

The official news agency "IRNA" reported today that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian met with the new Iranian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ali Reza Anayati, before he officially starts his duties in Riyadh soon. While "IRNA" did not specify the date Anayati would head to Riyadh, the "Tasnim" news agency, affiliated with the "Revolutionary Guard," mentioned that Anayati is likely to travel to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. Anayati was previously the assistant to the Iranian foreign minister for Gulf affairs and served for years as the Iranian ambassador to Kuwait.
