Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov indicated on Wednesday that the country has "given the green light for two humanitarian convoys from the International Committee of the Red Cross to the besieged separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh, which may depart within hours." Bayramov stated, "Azerbaijan is ready to facilitate humanitarian convoys regularly." Azerbaijan has besieged the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh, which has a majority Armenian population, since December 2022, leading to a severe shortage of fuel and food. Reports have emerged that both sides agreed to open the routes between them on Saturday, although the road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia has not been fully opened yet.
