Nawal expressed her happiness and pride while receiving the "Fashion Icon" award on the Emmy Gala stage, extending her gratitude to the organizers of the festival. She noted that although she has received various awards and honors throughout her artistic career for her work and songs, this was the first time she was recognized with such an award.
