A person was killed due to heavy rains and floods in the Aqaba Governorate in southern Jordan. The heavy rains caused human and material losses in #Jordan, leading to the flooding of #Mujib Dam, according to Jordanian television.
The Ammon News Agency reported that the Aqaba Governor, Khaled Al-Hajag, stated to the Public Security Radio today that a missing person was reported last night, Sunday, after his vehicle was swept away in the flowing waters. The vehicle was recovered and after a search, the driver was found deceased.
Today, extensive areas north of the capital, Amman, experienced heavy thunderstorm rains accompanied by hail. There were significant crowds at automobile glass replacement shops in Amman due to damage caused to vehicles from the large hailstones.
