Rafik Hariri International Airport witnessed a large crowd of travelers today, Tuesday, amidst chaos, disorganization, and malfunctioning air conditioning. In this context, Minister of Tourism in the caretaker government Walid Nassar urged all concerned parties regarding Beirut Airport to convene an emergency meeting to find solutions that he had previously suggested three months ago. The aim is to take some preemptive steps to ensure procedures that facilitate and respect the movement of both incoming and outgoing passengers from the airport. For his part, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Fadi Al-Hassan, pointed out that the crowding of departing passengers from Beirut Airport is a normal occurrence at this time of year, and there are no operational issues at the airport.
