America Bans Visa Issuance for Those Involved in Violence in the West Bank

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced in a statement on Tuesday that "the U.S. Department of State will impose a ban on issuing visas to individuals involved in undermining peace, security, or stability in the West Bank." He added in the statement, which included the announcement of a new policy to restrict visa issuance, that "the restrictions will target those who have committed acts of violence or taken other actions that hinder civilians' access to essential services and necessities, and may also apply to family members of these individuals."
