The Romanian Ministry of Defense indicated today, Saturday, that "military radars detected a potential breach of national airspace during Russian drone attacks last night on civilian infrastructure in neighboring Ukraine."
The ministry noted that it found "parts suspected to be Russian drones on the country's territory in three different incidents this month, confirming the security risks faced by NATO, whose members are committed to collective defense."
It added: "The radar surveillance system of the Romanian Army detected a potential unauthorized breach of national airspace, registering a signal on the road leading to the town of Galati," and mentioned deploying search teams.
The ministry stated: "So far, no objects have been found that fell on our territory, and search operations are ongoing today."
