Title: Bank Association: We Condemn the Accusations Against "Fransabank"

The Association of Banks in Lebanon condemned in a statement the "accusations made by MTV regarding transfers carried out by the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of Fransabank following the outbreak of the financial crisis, as well as the use of unacceptable expressions that go beyond proper media communication." It added: "In this context, the association deems it important to remind that a list of transfers made by banks to abroad has been submitted to the official judicial authorities as well as to the Special Investigation Commission, which has the final say on this matter, away from media analyses. The banks and their officials affirm that they are all subject to the law and under judicial jurisdiction to clarify the truth. This clarification was necessary."
