The Egyptian news agency MENA reported on Tuesday that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stated that "the current escalation between Israel and the Palestinians is extremely dangerous and has consequences that may affect the security and stability of the region." Sisi added, "Egypt hopes to negotiate a solution to the Palestinian issue that leads to peace and the establishment of a Palestinian state."
