After a thorough observation and surveillance operation, one of the patrols from the Public Relations Division of the Internal Security Forces managed to arrest a drug trafficker caught in the act in the Zaharieh area of Tripoli, identified as W.A.D. (born in 1979, Lebanese nationality) while he was selling drugs from a "Range Rover" SUV. Upon apprehension and search of both him and the vehicle, six bags containing marijuana, a drug grinder, a rolling paper notebook, a military-grade pistol with three operational bullets, two mobile phones, and a sum of money were found.
During interrogation, he confessed to the charges of selling drugs to several customers in Zaharieh and stated that he obtains the drugs from someone in Baalbek. Efforts are ongoing to arrest that person.
Legal procedures were carried out against him, and he was placed in custody along with the seized items, based on judicial instructions.
