University presidents in Israel announced today, Tuesday, that the new academic year will not begin before December 24th, amid the ongoing war and the rising number of reservists among students and faculty members. According to Israeli Channel 13, the university leaders indicated that a two-week notice will be given prior to the start of the semester for confirmation. This announcement includes seven research universities in Israel: the Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, Bar-Ilan University, Ben Gurion University, the Technion, the University of Haifa, and Ariel University.
