On Tuesday, Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Raï received the new French ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, at the patriarchate in Bkerke, in a protocol visit following his new diplomatic assignment. This occasion provided an opportunity to discuss the bilateral relations between Lebanon and France, as well as the latest developments in the local arena.
Additionally, Raï met with the Egyptian consul in Lebanon, Counselor Mohamed El-Mashad, who stated: "I was honored by this meeting where we discussed the relations between the two countries and the nature of the historical relationship. We also addressed the latest updates and developments in the Lebanese arena, particularly concerning the election of a president for the republic, clarifying that the swift election of a president who garners the consensus of all political currents and parties serves the interests of the Lebanese people."
