Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, forward for Liverpool, opened his scoring account in the new season of the English Premier League with a historic goal against visiting Bournemouth on Saturday, during the second round of the league. Salah reached his 187th goal in a "Reds" shirt, surpassing the number of goals scored by the legend Steven Gerrard, the current coach of Saudi club Al-Ettifaq, in Liverpool's history. This placed Mohamed Salah fifth on the all-time Liverpool goal scorers list. It is worth noting that Welshman Ian Rush holds the top spot in Liverpool's all-time scoring chart with 346 goals.
