Qatar Announces Continued Coordination with the United States Regarding Prisoners

Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, received a phone call today, Saturday, from U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. During the call, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways to support and develop them, as well as the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and Israel and ways to de-escalate tensions. Blinken expressed gratitude to Qatar for its efforts in securing the release of two American citizens from the Gaza Strip. The Qatari Prime Minister confirmed Qatar's continued coordination with the United States and international partners for the release of prisoners and de-escalation in Gaza.
