Ibrahim Kanaan, head of the Finance and Budget Committee, tweeted: "The condemnations of the European Parliament's decision regarding Syrian refugees in Lebanon do not suffice nor absolve some from their shortcomings since the beginning in confronting this reality or working seriously to address and change it in collaboration with the European political parties and parliamentary blocs that opposed it, led by Thierry Mariani and his colleagues in the National Rally, particularly its president Jordan Bardella." He added: "See you in October in Strasbourg for an extensive meeting in the European Parliament on this issue."
