Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu revealed today, Monday, that the quadrilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Russia, Iran, and Syria will take place in early May. He added, "The quadrilateral meeting will discuss ensuring the voluntary return of Syrian refugees from Turkey and neighboring countries." He stated that his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, will visit Turkey this week. Çavuşoğlu noted that the visit of the Egyptian ambassador could yield progress regarding the return of the ambassadors of both countries to resume their duties after cutting relations ten years ago, saying, "It is time to take concrete steps. We can take steps to appoint ambassadors during Shoukry's visit."
