Iraq: Internationally-Linked Drug Network Disassembled

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced today, Thursday, the "seizure of 22 kg of crystal meth and the dismantling of an internationally-linked drug network." The statement mentioned that "the General Directorate for Drug Affairs, under the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and under the supervision of the Minister of Interior, managed to seize (22) kilograms of crystal meth and arrested (7) drug dealers while dismantling their local networks connected internationally." The ministry added that "this was done in two separate operations carried out in the provinces of Basra and Dhi Qar."
