The Turkish province of Rize witnessed the organization of a competition to select the most beautiful cow as part of a local festival, with participation from around two thousand people and local officials. The Anadolu Agency reported that the festival, which lasted for two days, included folk dances and women wearing beautiful traditional outfits, representing the movement of livestock herders in search of pasture.
During the festival, a contest was held to choose the most beautiful cow, where several cows were adorned by their owners with various accessories, and some had flowers hung around their necks and horns to enhance their appearance. A judging table modeled after fashion shows was set up, and cow owners led their livestock in front of the jury.
The cow "Rose of the Plateau" won the title of the most beautiful cow in the competition, and the jury awarded her owner, Melik Ozguleg, a cash prize and bags of feed.
