A Russian-appointed official in the Kherson region stated today that "the Russian army has surrounded the Ukrainian forces that crossed to the eastern bank of the Dnipro River in southern Ukraine and is bombarding them with hellfire." The Director of the Office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, mentioned yesterday that "Ukrainian forces have secured a foothold on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River located in the Kherson region."
