Athletics: Two Records Set by Angela Tannous and Eliana Maouad from the "Petron Stars" Club

The Lebanese Athletics Federation continued its 2023 activity schedule by organizing a track and field meeting at the Kamil Shmon Sports City in Beirut, with the participation of 126 male and female athletes from ten affiliated clubs. The event was attended by Federation President Roland Saadeh, Vice President Nadia Nema, General Secretary Wissam Halouly, Treasurer Maria Kevorkian, and members Philippe Bjeani, Ayman Al-Shami, and Nadim Aboud. During the competition, two new age category records were set by: - Angela Tannous from the Petron Stars club: a new record in the 80m hurdles for the Under-16 female category, 14.80 seconds (previous record 15.12 seconds held by Perla Abu Rjeili from Al-Jumhuri Club). - Eliana Maouad from the Petron Stars club: a new record in the shot put for the Under-12 female category, 36.40 meters (previous record 34.90 meters held by Jane Saad from the Champville Club).
