Bou Habib Receives Thank You Message from Moroccan Embassy

Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib received a letter from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Beirut thanking him for his "genuine feelings of sympathy and condolences," especially since Lebanon has shown its willingness to offer assistance following the devastating earthquake in Morocco. The letter mentioned that "Moroccan authorities are in the process of assessing the extent of the damages caused by the earthquake in the affected areas, and will inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants about the extent of the losses to coordinate on the assistance that can be provided."

The Moroccan embassy expressed its appreciation and respect for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in its message. Bou Habib had communicated yesterday with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, offering condolences for the earthquake victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. He also expressed "the solidarity and support of Lebanon, both government and people, with the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco," and affirmed "Lebanon's standing with Morocco in facing this painful tragedy."
