Italian newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport" and other media outlets reported on Thursday that "authorities in Italian football have requested a four-year ban for Paul Pogba, midfielder of 'Juventus', due to allegations of violating doping regulations." The Frenchman Pogba was temporarily suspended in September following a test conducted by the Italian anti-doping authority that revealed high levels of testosterone in his sample, after a match in which "Juventus" won 3-0 against "Udinese" during the season opener on August 20. The result from the initial sample was confirmed by a counter-analysis of a second sample in October.
