The major indices on Wall Street opened higher today, Friday, after three of the largest banks in the United States, including JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo, kicked off the second quarter earnings season with strong results. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 30.19 points, or 0.09 percent, to 34,425.33 points at the open. The S&P 500 opened up 4.57 points, or 0.10 percent, at 4,514.61 points, while the Nasdaq Composite increased by 28.09 points, or 0.20 percent, to 14,166.66 points at the open.
