French Defense Minister: UN Mission in Lebanon Should Not Be Put in a Difficult Position

French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced that Paris will send a second helicopter carrier off the coast of Gaza while working with Israeli and Egyptian authorities to find ways to provide medical assistance to those affected by the bombings in the besieged area. Lecornu spoke to "France Info" radio today in Lebanon, where he visited the French unit of the UN mission. He added that he has sent messages to both Hezbollah and Israel urging them not to take any actions that would make it impossible for the mission to carry out its mandate.
