Official media reported today that "Jordanian King Abdullah rejects any plans for Israel to occupy parts of Gaza or to establish security zones within the enclave." In statements made at the royal palace, the Jordanian monarch told senior politicians he met with that "there cannot be a 'military or security solution' to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians." He added, "Gaza should not be separated from the rest of the Palestinian territories."
