Chinese Cities Record Record High Temperatures

Some cities in northern China have recorded record high temperatures this week. By 10:00 AM (02:00 GMT) on Friday, the Central Meteorological Administration issued numerous heat alerts. It is expected that the capital, Beijing, will experience temperatures ranging from 37 to 39 degrees Celsius tomorrow, Saturday. The Tianjin Meteorological Observatory raised the warning level to red, expecting temperatures to reach 40 degrees Celsius. The China Meteorological Administration Public Meteorological Service Center issued the first weather forecast for heat stroke this year on Thursday, 13 days earlier than the average date in previous years. Parts of North China's Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei are predicted to experience extreme heat. On Thursday, the city of Shijiazhuang became the first provincial capital to record 40 degrees Celsius this year, according to local media reports. China Central Television (CCTV) stated that the cities of Zhangjiakou and Chengdu in the same province recorded extreme temperatures in June. Due to the continued rise in temperatures, electricity network operators have declared a state of maximum alert.
