Egyptian media outlets reported statements from Ashraf Zaki, the head of the Actors' Syndicate in Egypt, regarding the health status of star Adel Imam. Zaki said, "On my personal responsibility... the man is fine and in great condition," in response to the rumors of Adel Imam’s death.
When asked why a video of Imam hasn't been filmed to reassure his fans, the head of the Actors' Syndicate replied, "It is inappropriate for me to ask Adel Imam's family to film him to end the speculation about his health."
He added, "If the rumors of his death were true, necessary actions would have been taken, and the news would have been announced to everyone."
For his part, producer Essam Imam, Adel’s brother, stated that "the leader Adel Imam is in good health and the circulating rumors have no basis in truth." Essam explained that "the family is tired and frustrated by the numerous rumors that are reported about the leader from time to time. I swear, the leader is in great condition."
