British police announced today, Sunday, that they have charged seven individuals following a large pro-Palestinian march and a counter-protest by far-right groups yesterday, during which more than 140 people were arrested. Clashes erupted between police and far-right groups that gathered to protest the march held on the day of the ceasefire marking the end of World War I, during which Britain commemorated war casualties. The Metropolitan Police stated that investigations are ongoing into "a number of other incidents," and the seven detainees face various charges, including criminal damage, resisting arrest, possession of an offensive weapon and drugs, public disorder, and assault. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Lawrence Taylor, who led police operations on Saturday, said, "We have teams of officers who continue to pursue cases against those in custody and are opening investigations with those who attract our attention when sharing images and videos on social media."
