Biden Forgets How to Salute the Flag on Memorial Day

U.S. President Joe Biden participated in Memorial Day to honor "those who died so the nation may live," and, as usual, his appearance was not without some moments of ridicule. Biden was seen alongside Vice President Kamala Harris and U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, where he walked in a strange manner, then stood to salute the flag and listen to the national anthem. However, Biden made a mistake in the salute, placing his hand on his head instead of on his heart like the rest.

Biden took part in the Memorial Day ceremonies by visiting Arlington National Cemetery and laying a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. In his speech, he praised the sacrifices of generations of soldiers who died for their country, noting that they "died so our nation may live." Biden stated, "On Memorial Day, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country," highlighting the importance of renewing commitment towards the U.S. military personnel who lost their lives.

Memorial Day has been a federal holiday in America since 1971.
