The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque replaced the cover of the Holy Kaaba today, Wednesday, in conjunction with the arrival of the new Hijri year. The Saudi Press Agency reported that the cover was replaced in the presence of the General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais.
Describing the replacement process, the agency added that the old cover is removed from the bottom while the new cover remains in place. This process is repeated four times for each side until the entire garment is complete. Afterward, the belt is adjusted in a straight line for the four sides by sewing it.
