Zelensky Announces the Formation of a Marine Corps in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during his visit to military sites in the Oglidar direction, announced the "creation of a Marine Corps in Ukraine" and spoke about forming "new brigades equipped with modern equipment and weapons." He noted that "a decision has been made to significantly increase the capabilities and capacities of the Ukrainian Marines – to establish a Marine Corps." He emphasized that "the state will do everything possible to develop this important and resilient branch of the armed forces," according to RT.
