Erdogan Says Gulf Countries Recently Sent Money to Support Turkey's Economy

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed today, Thursday, that "Gulf countries recently sent funding to Turkey, which briefly helped relieve the burdens on the Turkish Central Bank and the markets." He added that he "intends to meet with the leaders of those countries and thank them after the presidential election rerun scheduled for Sunday." Erdogan told CNN Turk: "Our economy and our banking and financial system are very strong. At the same time, some Gulf countries and others injected money into our system, and you will see how these leaders will come here and how I will visit them to express my gratitude."
