The Commander of the Army, General Joseph Aoun, received a delegation from the Journalists' Club at his office in Yarzeh. The delegation, led by journalist Bassem Abu Zeid, offered their condolences for the two fallen officers following the crash of an army helicopter in the Hamana area.
They discussed the general situation and the various challenges facing the military institution, and the delegation members expressed their appreciation for the significant sacrifices made by the army, noting its "performance and wisdom in handling security events and crises." They also praised its "national role in enhancing trust and security in Lebanon," affirming their "support and solidarity with it as the guarantor of Lebanon's unity, sovereignty, and dignity."
