# Israel Assassinated a Field Commander in the Al-Qassam Brigades

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, mourned the field commander Ayman Atiyah Deeb Mansour (52 years old) and his son Atiyah Ayman Mansour (31 years old), who were killed in gunfire in the city of Jabalia in northern Gaza. The brigades added: "Abu Atiyah is well-known in all fields of jihad for his sincerity, steadfastness, and struggle, having held several leadership positions, the most notable being Deputy Commander of the Northern Brigade. Throughout his jihadist career, he faced assassination attempts by the enemy and had his home targeted."
