Putin: U.S. Hints of War Against Russia and China Are Nonsense

Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated in an interview published on Sunday that “the hints in the West suggesting that the United States is preparing for simultaneous war against both Russia and China are nonsense.” In comments shared on social media by Kremlin journalist Pavel Zarubin, he explained that “Russian forces are reinforcing their positions across the entire front line in Ukraine following the Ukrainian counteroffensive, which he described as a failure this year.” Putin stated, “As for the counteroffensive, which is allegedly stalled, it has completely failed.” When asked about the battle for the town of Avdiivka in eastern Ukraine, Putin said, “The opposing side is preparing for new active offensive operations. We see this and we know it.”
