Landslide Kills 21 People in Malaysia

Officials stated that at least 21 people, including children, died in a landslide while they were sleeping at an unauthorized camp in Malaysia, as rescue teams sifted through the thick mud and cut through trees in search of survivors. The landslide occurred in Selangor state on the outskirts of the capital, Kuala Lumpur, and destroyed a hill in an organic farm, which officials say was operating the camp illegally. The fire and rescue department reported that five children and 12 women were among the victims.
