Title: Dozens of Rockets Launched Toward Galilee from Southern Lebanon

Israeli media reported that a new barrage of rockets was launched from southern Lebanon toward the Upper Galilee, while sirens continued to sound in settlements along the border with Lebanon. This development is considered the largest and most dangerous since the July 2006 war.

Simultaneously with these developments, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a high-level security meeting to monitor the situation following the bombardment from Lebanon. Israeli forces evacuated the beaches adjacent to the border.

The Iron Dome intercepted several rockets above the western Galilee area, with indications that they might have been launched from the Lebanese coastal regions.

The Israeli military stated in a communiqué that the rockets were fired from Lebanese territory and confirmed that at least one person was injured. Residents in areas close to the Lebanese border were instructed to take shelter.

The Israeli media described the rocket launch as the largest since the July 2006 war, reporting approximately one hundred rockets fired thus far. There were indications that the rockets were launched from the town of Suheil al-Qulaylah in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon.

Israeli forces responded to the rocket launches with limited artillery shelling, amid extensive overflights of Israeli warplanes over several southern regions.
