U.S. Classifies Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades and its Secretary General as Global Terrorists

The U.S. State Department announced today, Friday, that it has "designated Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades and its Secretary General as specially designated global terrorists." Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in a statement that "the terrorist activities of the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades have threatened the lives of soldiers from both the United States and the international coalition to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria."
