Statement Issued by the

The "The People Want to Reform the System" Association issued the following statement:

Lawyers Hassan Bazi, Pierre Haddad, Najib Farhat, Malak Hamieh, Joseph and Anis, Ali Clout, Jean-Pierre Khalifa, Mohamed Louma, Tareq Ezzou, and Maymanah Alawiyah have filed a lawsuit against the Lebanese state before the General Assembly of the Court of Cassation, registered under number 76/2023, dated 8/3/2023. This action is in response to the letter addressed by the Public Prosecutor Judge Ghassan Oueidat to Judge Ghada Aoun, which includes a suspension of investigations into the complaints submitted by the present plaintiffs against the banks.

The "The People Want to Reform the System" Association confirms that it will continue to confront the attempts of the deep state to halt investigations against the banks to violate the rights and funds of the depositors. It will not back down from the confrontation; rather, it will expand its legal actions before international courts to hold all involved parties accountable, regardless of their status.
