Statement from Banque du Liban Regarding Opening Bank Accounts

Banque du Liban has demanded that "banks not impose any new types of fees on deposit accounts that were not applied before the date of 31/10/2019." In a circular, it called for "preparation of a list that includes accurate and documented information about the actual costs of the accounts incurred by the client, as well as how these costs are calculated and collected, ensuring that no unauthorized fees are imposed that are not included in this list."
