Russia has warned that the shipment of new Western weapons to Ukraine will only "prolong" the conflict, ahead of a meeting in Washington between U.S. President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated, "We observe that the United States continues its policy aimed at increasing arms shipments to Ukraine," according to Agence France-Presse. He added that the deliveries "will not have a decisive impact on the outcome of the offensive (in Ukraine), but it is clear that they will prolong this conflict and have unfortunate consequences for the Ukrainian people."
