General Motors announced today, Tuesday, that it has "registered its name to supply the Formula 1 World Championship with power units starting in 2028 with the proposed Andretti Cadillac team." The International Automobile Federation stated last October that it had "endorsed Andretti's nomination to join Formula 1 as the 11th team, pending approval from the commercial rights holders."
